Akron

Akron resident, Christopher Louis Franczek, aged 33, passed away in his sleep on Saturday, May 11th, 2024.

Christopher was born March 1st, 1991 in Painesville, Ohio to Deborah Franczek and Harold Franczek Jr.

He grew up in Madison, Ohio. After his parents’ separation, he moved to Charolette, NC to live with his mother. He graduated Vance High School. He excelled in his studies there and was proud of his ROTC achievements. He was an avid animal lover and people person. He was a thrill seeker who loved roller coasters and lived life to the fullest. Cooking & sharing his food with others was his passion. Throughout the years, he held several exciting employment experiences. He worked for Carrowinds Amusement Park. The park is located on the border between North Carolina and South Carolina. It operates in both states. In Charolette, NC he bartended for Levy Restaurants which hosted arena events for concerts, NASCAR and more. He always told stories of seeing the song “Jump” live & working the Coca Cola 500. His mother, Deborah, and wife, Elaine both worked with him for years at the Chardon, OH Mr. Hero. Regulars there became like family, especially Mike and Susan Sealy. He and his family ventured out west to Colorado where he worked at Love’s Travel Store in Pueblo. He managed the 3 restaurant options at this location. Here he met Kim Pattinson who became a dear family friend. He and his wife purchased their first home a few years later in La Junta, CO where he became a chef for the local schools. During his time at the schools, his health began to take a toll causing him to discontinue his duties.

Christopher loved to give back to others however he could and would give you the shirt off his back. The school children he worked with daily recognized his caring personality.
