Jeffrey Mark Young

Jeffrey "Jeff" Mark Young, aged 63, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on April 30, 2024, in Cleveland. He was born on February 7, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio. 

Jeff was a man of strong morals and work ethic. He always prioritized the needs of his family and friends above his own. Known for his selflessness, he would go out of his way to help loved ones in any way he could. Jeff's quiet strength and unwavering resolve were matched only by his loyalty and honesty. He had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh, and enjoyed spending time playing with his children and many grandchildren. 

In his career, Jeff was a skilled mechanic who earned his ASE certification. He later established his own auto repair shop, Young's Auto, where he was revered as a "jack of all trades." He possessed a remarkable talent for fixing anything, whether it was cars, houses, or computers. Jeff was the go-to person for his family and friends whenever they needed repairs. 

Jeff's hobbies included listening to music from various genres, with Pink Floyd, LoverBoy, The Beatles, and AC/DC holding a special place in his heart. He has been an avid concert-goer throughout his life, attending more than 30 concerts of various bands and singers. In his younger years, he even worked as a DJ at a local nightclub. Additionally, he enjoyed surfing the internet. 

Jeff is survived by his loving children, Elizabeth Boergert, Lisa Young, and Michael Young (Heather); his mother, Joyce Young (Cowin); and his brothers, Donald Young (Joyce) and Ronald Young. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Annette Young, and his father, Robert Young. 

A memorial service to celebrate Jeff's life will be held at Creston Community Church, 111 Sterling Street, Creston OH 44217, on May 18th, 2024, from 1 pm to 5pm. A “potluck” style meal will be served upon completion of the memorial service. If you would like to participate or donate to the potluck, please contact one of Jeff’s children.  

Jeff's kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
