Lawrence Michael Petroff

Lawrence “Larry” Michael Petroff, age 68, of Akron, OH, passed on December 5th, 2023. He was born in Cleveland, OH on May 10th, 1955, to the late Steven M. & Ruth (Jacobs) Petroff. A 1973 graduate of R.R. Chamberlin High School in Twinsburg, OH. Larry was known for his athletic abilities in football, baseball, and track.  After being honorably discharged from U.S. Air Force in 1981, Larry worked as a printing press operator until he moved to Portage Lakes to enjoy his remaining years in retirement near his daughter.

Larry was a passionate Ohio State Buckeyes football fan. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing, family barbeques, and the occasional round of golf with his son-in-law. Larry was admired dearly by his young grandson, who always referred to him as "Papa Larry".  Larry is survived by his loving daughter, Larissa (Justin) Leonhard, and grandson, Mason.

In keeping with Larry's wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Cremation services in care of Summit Simple Cremation in Uniontown, OH.
