     Richard “Rick” Earl Sayre, 71, of Hartville, Ohio passed away Wednesday January 21st, 2026. Rick was born November 13, 1954. Rick was an employee at Camelot Music in North Canton, Ohio for 30 years where he performed several jobs. Including warehouse worker, production supervisor, truck driver, and maintenance technician. Rick also worked for many years as a lift truck technician. Rick enjoyed the outdoors, doing activities such as camping, fishing, and hunting. He also played the drums and loved music. Rick was a very resourceful and hardworking man that is remembered for his ability to repair anything that needed fixed. He had a great knowledge of maintenance related tasks, especially lift truck repair. 

     Rick was a man of Faith in God and known for the Love he had for his 3 grandchildren. He will also be remembered for his generosity and willingness to give to anyone who was in need. Rick was a very friendly and down-to-earth guy, who quickly formed friendships with anyone he met. 

     Rick was preceded in death by his parents Lester (Shirley) Sayre of Hartville and his sister Rebecca (Bill) Grocott of Orrville. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Donna Sayre of Hartville, his two children, daughter Christi (Don) Stayer of Uniontown, and son Jason (Angela) Sayre of Orderville,Utah, his 3 grandchildren Noah and Rilyn Stayer and Lauren Sayre. He is also survived by his two sisters Norma Jean (Ed) Hershey of Orrville and Leslie Kay (Charles) Bittler of Navarre and his brother Lester H “Bud” Sayre III of Hartville and his dog Lucy, who was his best buddy as well as many friends and extended family members who will greatly miss him. 

     A memorial service will be held for Rick open to all friends and family on February 7, 2026 at Passion Church 61 Hartville Rd Hartville, OH 44632 with calling hours starting at 11:00am, and the service to follow at noon. A meal will also be provided by the church immediately following the service. We find comfort through this difficult time in the good, and loving benevolence of our Heavenly Father, and in knowing that Rick’s legacy lives on in what he shared and taught all of us, along with the memories of him that we will cherish.
