Robert Charles Gabel Jr.

Robert C. Gabel Jr., age 65, passed away leaving behind a legacy of hard work and selflessness. Known for his chill demeanor and steady presence, Robert was a man who dedicated his life to his family and his craft.

He was the devoted husband of Violet, with whom he shared a life defined by mutual support and an unwavering sense of adventure. Together, they pursued their passions with intensity, raising their three sons, Nick, Paul, and Joe, in a home grounded by Robert’s quiet strength. Born to Grace and Bob Gabel Sr, Robert grew up alongside his siblings Tim, Brian, and Maureen.

He was a standout athlete in his youth, playing football for both Revere High School and Youngstown State University. His passion for the game continued throughout his life as he transitioned from player to coach, sharing his knowledge and discipline with younger generations.

Robert spent his professional years as a skilled bricklayer. He was a man who understood the value of a long day of labor and took immense pride in the structures he built. When he was not on a job site or a football field, he was almost certainly outdoors. He found his greatest peace while hunting and fishing, embracing the quiet of nature.

Robert will be remembered by those who knew him as a man who always put others before himself without ever asking for recognition.
